About Jobstant
Jobstant is a search enhanced site that displays job results just as quickly as you type. I was inspired by Google Instant, Feross Aboukhadijeh and Instantise to build this for my industry.
A typical search on a job board consists of inputting keywords, selecting a location and sometimes selecting a category, which seems like a pretty simple task. However, what I've found in my 10+ years of experience in the "high-tech" online and many times offline recruiting industry, is that a good majority of users have no idea what to search for. I've seen terms like 'sales', 'management,' and even prayer searches like 'anything that pays well.' Although the first two terms will pull up results, they're vague and pull up too many results that span too many industries. With that many results, users are less likely to find a good match and more likely to lose interest in their online job search.
With Jobstant, a job seeker can now adapt their search on the fly, get instant feedback and have a better experience searching for their new career. It's a fascinating way to search for jobs online. Please give it a try and if you have any suggestions, comment below so that I can continue to improve it.
